Father’s Day?

Sarah Blaffer Hrdy, a professor of antropology at UC Davis, has writtten a very interesting article in Time magazine this week.  Her statistics reveal some pretty sad things about the state of fatherhood in our country.  One stat that stood out to my wife and me was that most fathers only spend almost one hour per day with their kids.  (Fortunately, I have a job where I can spend quite a bit of time with Mae).

Dear God, thank you for the privilege of fatherhood.  Thank you for the lives of our children.  Give us the strength to be men that reflect your image as the perfect Father.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
